Burt’s Basement

Director Brent Maddock ponders his next shot in Burt’s basement. In front of him are the two mysterious balls that appeared every time something was being shot involving the monsters. (They’re actually used by the Computer FX team. Photographed at the beginning of a shot they capture a record of the lighting on the set, making it easier to light and composite the CG creatures later.
