The last one, the number 7 clone is the one that is still alive. That was a mechanical body that was blended to a makeup peace on Sigourney's neck right under her jaw line. She was on a slant board with her head coming up through the table and we grafted this mechanical body onto that. There were six or seven puppeteers under the floor with her making the body breath, twitch and move.

Sigourney is great because she really loves to push the limits of things. She will make herself look as bad as necessary. She has a great sense of humor and that sense of humor shows more now, maybe it is because she has just gotten used to working with us, but at this point it is the only thing that gets us through because this stuff is so outrageous and outlandish. She really does carry the emotional throughline through all these films, after all it is her and the aliens the people are coming in to see

There are some things that she says she would prefer not to see until we get on set in order to keep it fresh and new. This was the case with the clones. At one point she wanted to see what she looked like so we held a mirror up and showed here the way her clone body looked and she just went "uhhhaaa". She in turn used that to create the stress and sadness that that character was supposed to be feeling. That was a great scene, she really plaid that with whole hearted commitment. She really sells the reality of this stuff.
