This is a close-up of the face of the Brain Bug. This creature was designed by Craig Haze of Phil Tippett Studios who did the computer animation for the film. One of Paul Verhoeven's big concerns was that we be able to get a variety of expressions out of this face. That was one of the difficult challenges, to make it not only look fearsome but fearful as well.
