Early Graboid Tests|
In this shot the film is running forward normally. Here we wanted to see how strong the tentacles were, how far they could reach out, etc. As you can see, they could easily support their own weight and reach very far. There was no need to support them with wires (as is often done with movie tentacles). We also learned that it was important to anchor them securely in shots like this, because in this shot you can tell the tentacle is just wobbling around, and probably isn't really attached to a thirty ton underground worm. |
