The tenants of an old apartment building in New York are about to be thrown out. Their building is to be torn down in the name of progress. But they get some unexpected help from an a very otherworldly source.

Starting with a story by Mick Garris and a script by Brad Byrd and director Matthew Robbins ,Wilson and Maddock co-wrote this film. Steven Spielberg had originally intended it as an Amazing Story (that TV series was in production at the time), but later decided it should be a full blown feature film. It was especially exciting to be writing for veteran actors Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy.
