We were writing in opposition to the stereotypes seen in the B monster movies we grew up with, so a smart strong female character was a given. Similarly, Val and Earl are not the experts you usually see in those movies. So yes, Tremors is probably woke by today’s standards, partly by design and partly by a desire to do something fresh.
Seen through a modern day lens, would it be fair to consider any entry of Tremors “woke”? With their diverse casts, strong female leads and insistence on thinking over brute force, a strong case could be made for Yes. Additionally, is that down to your own progressive tendencies?
